Minimalist Product Review

Hello Beautiful People,

Hope you all are doing well!

Today, I am going to review Alpha Arbutin 2% + Hyaluronic Acid 1% and, Sepicalm 3% + Oats Moisturizer
from the brand Minimalist.

About the brand Minimalist

  • In 2020, the brand Minimalist was founded.
  • The brand wanted to promote the transparency in the beauty industry by telling its customers that it was the most acclaimed misconception ever that 100% natural is safe & effective and anything that sounds like a chemical is unsafe.
  • This is not true. And, that’s why they don’t hide any information regarding their products.
  • You can find all the information about the contents, usage and everything else about the product on the website and on the product packaging itself.
  • Its quite impressive how the brand is maintaining honesty by being transparent about the contents of the product.
  • And I think it’s the only brand that openly tells that nothing is chemical free and not all the chemicals are harmful.

I have a very dull, dry and sensitive skin and that’s why I like to choose skin care products carefully. And, you know what? When I went to choose the products on their site, I found the section totally amazing, each and everything clearly mentioned over there about the products. And, this is what I think is called transparency. The brand offers products for all skin types.

The complete range is available @ https://beminimalist.co/ . I had chosen these two products as I found them suitable for my skin care.

1. Alpha Arbutin 2% + Hyaluronic Acid 1%

This is an anti-pigmentation serum that helps to reduce dark spots and provides an even skin tone. It is a new and advanced molecule in the world of bright science and does not show cell cytotoxicity and helps to get a naturally bright skin tone.

I had a little pigmentation on my chin area, after using the serum for about to three weeks the pigmentation was lightened a little and my skin tone looked quite even . You need to use it regularly as directed on the pack and this will surely help you to gain noticeable result. Also, I found its quite safe for sensitive skin.

Price – 539 INR
Qty. – 30 Ml

Texture and Consistency

The serum is a clear gel like fluid that spreads evenly and gets ingested within a minute of application by leaving a hydrated, soft skin.

Packaging

The packaging is quite nice and safely reached at my place. This serum arrives in a travel-friendly bottle with a dropper(because of the dropper, I found the product very hygienic and convenient to use).

How To Use

This serum is to be used twice a day(recommended), wash and clean your face and take 2-3 drops of serum in palm and apply on the face evenly. Follow with a Moisturizer.

Note

It is highly recommended that you must take a patch test before start using a new product.

Fragrance

This serum does not have any artificial scent, therefore if you have a fragrance sensitive nose like me… just don’t worry about that.

What I Liked About The Product

  • Easily available
  • Fragrance free
  • Silicon free
  • Non-sticky
  • Paraben free
  • Comes with a dropper (a hygienic
  • way to apply the serum)
  • Helpful in reduction of dark spots (takes a little time but works well).

What I Didn’t Like About The Product

Too much packaging material is not required, I found that quite a waste of material.

My Experience

Minimalist Alpha Arbutin Serum is a watery and kind of gel based serum. It drifts easily and gets absorb in no time. I apply this right after cleansing my skin. After application, it does not give any uncomfortable oily or greasy feel, rather it makes my skin soft and leaves no residue behind. But I would suggest don’t use more than 2-4 drops because when you exceed the amount it feels a little heavy on skin.

Arbutin and vitamin C together can speed up skin lightening. You will see noticeable difference in a time of about to 3-4 weeks time after its regular use.

Overall, Minimalist Alpha Arbutin Serum is an effective serum that lightens pigmentation, ordinary dark spots and sun tanning in the long run. It takes about three to four weeks time to show noticeable result.

2. The Minimalist Sepicalm 3% + Oats Moisturizer

This Moisturizer works very well on the skin. I like that it has a soft creamy texture which absorbs easily and quickly without making skin heavy or oily. It works slowly but effectively and shows noticeable results in about three weeks of regular use. The moisturizer makes skin soothing, gentle and calm. This moisturizer is suitable for all skin types.

Texture and Consistency

It has a soft, creamy and soothing texture. The color is plain white(no extra added color). The consistency of this moisturizer is easy to apply.

How To Use

Use if after you clean your skin and take sufficient amount and massage gently. For better and faster results, use it daily twice.

Note

While it’s a light moisturizer with no side effects but still patch test is highly recommended before you start using it.

Fragrance

It does not contain any fragrance and I like the thing as I am quite sensitive to strong fragrances.

What I Liked About The Product

  • Non-sticky
  • Non-greasy
  • Lightweight
  • Fragrance Free
  • Silicone Free
  • Superbly Soothing
  • Paraben Free

What I Didn’t Like About The Product

The double packaging is my only concern, as that’s not required if product is not in a glass box or bottle.

My Experience

I liked the moisturizer very much because of its texture and gentle effect. Also, it contains Shea butter, which is an amazing occlusive and does lock the moisture in the skin. This is a nice blend of ingredients that keeps skin hydrated and soothing for longer periods.

Overall, it’s nice and gently formulated moisturizer that makes skin beautiful.

Final Thoughts

Minimalist Serum and Moisturizer, both the products are of very good quality, gentle on skin, non-sticky and does not contain any fragrances. These products are suitable for all skin types.
